Providing Mental Health Counseling to all of Connecticut
Life can be challenging and sometimes those challenges can feel like more than we can manage on our own. The good news is that we don't have to! Making the choice to begin working with a Professional Counselor is the first step towards opening our minds to the possibility that there is another option other than suffering through emotional pain and hardships alone. Working with a Professional Counselor allows us to share our emotional struggles in a safe and trusting space, and learn new ways to process, reframe and approach life stressors, trauma, anxiety and so much more. Engaging in counseling is being kind to yourself. It is giving yourself grace and understanding. It is prioritizing your wellbeing. It is believing that there is another way to go through life other than "just getting by".
I look forward to getting to know you as we embark on this new journey together.
Beyond surprised, her ability to help me work with and understand my issues is incredible. She is great at talking about her own personal experiences to connect with me and make me feel like my difficulties can be identified with someone I look up to and think is bad ass. Her compassion, her presence, understanding and support makes me feel so grateful. Jennifer is someone I will be checking in with for many years. B.E. April 2020
Jennifer is the most helpful person I have ever talked to in my life. I thank you Jennifer Simmons, looking forward to talking to you soon. A.N. Apirl 2020
Instantly Jennifer become one of those humans I somehow knew I would continue to connect with. Even if I ended my sessions with her, I knew, she would be the person I would want to connect with for future changes in my life, big challenges and new travels on my journey. She has an ability to connect with me, one that makes me feel less alone in the world. Mostly because she doesn't pull herself out of her work, in fact her work is filled with honor and that honor always always always supports me and my needs. In the battlefields of life it is this kind of unconditional support and honest conversation that we need to make it through with pride. I am beyond grateful for the weekly (sometimes more) place Jennifer has taken in my life. And even as she confirms to me that the work I have done is mine, I would have never been able to do it without her. Again gratitude appears and I will end my words here. B.B Jan. 2021
