Janet Prince is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a master's degree in Social Work from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She is licensed in both Connecticut and New York. Before transitioning into private practice, Janet gained extensive experience working with nonprofit agencies, specializing in areas such as domestic violence, sexual abuse, addiction, and mental health.
Her expertise includes supporting individuals facing challenges related to trauma, addiction, relationship difficulties, Borderline Personality Disorder, grief, depression, and anxiety. Janet is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). She uses a client-centered, trauma-informed approach, tailoring her support to meet each person’s unique needs. Janet’s goal is to meet individuals wherever they are on their life journey, offering a safe, warm, and supportive environment for healing and growth. She understands that life’s difficulties can feel overwhelming, and facing them alone can be challenging. She believes that seeking help is an act of courage.
