CARA Dominello (SHE/HER), LPC-A, ART THERAPIST

Cara earned her Master’s degree in Art Therapy and Counseling from Albertus Magnus College. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) and is currently working toward becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Registered Art Therapist (ATR). Cara is passionate about supporting children, preteens, and adolescents as they navigate life’s challenges through creativity, self-expression, and the therapeutic process.
Prior to becoming a therapist, Cara earned her hairdresser license, where she developed strong interpersonal skills and a passion for helping others feel seen, heard, and confident. She brings that same warmth, compassion, and ability to build meaningful relationships into her work as a therapist.
During graduate school, Cara completed her clinical internship in hospice care, where she worked with individuals and families experiencing grief, loss, and major life transitions. This experience strengthened her appreciation for the healing power of empathy, creativity, and meeting each client where they are.
Cara believes every child and teen deserves a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where they can express themselves freely. She utilizes art therapy to help clients build emotional awareness, develop healthy coping skills, increase self-esteem, and foster resilience. Her goal is to empower each client to recognize their strengths and feel confident in their journey toward healing and personal growth.
